Our vision

Let's make the simple things normal again.

Simon and Lisa, Midsummer Meadow

Somewhere along the way, we forgot.

So much of life is now screens and noise. We're always reachable, always busy and always halfway somewhere else.

But the things that make us feel most like ourselves are simple.

Walking in the woods. Sitting with a book. Talking without checking a phone. Having time to rest. That shouldn't be a luxury.

Those things used to be normal. We'd like to make them normal again… if only for a couple of days.

Our story

How we came to the Meadow

Midsummer Meadow began with a simple dream. To find a beautiful country home where life could feel a little slower. When we discovered this very special thatched cottage, surrounded by six acres of woodland and countryside, we knew we had found somewhere we wanted to share.

Our vision is to create a place where people can step away from the noise and demands of everyday life, put down their phones, breathe a little deeper and reconnect with the things that really matter.

Whether you come for a woodland stay or a dedicated retreat, we hope Midsummer Meadow gives you the space to slow down, be present, and remember who you are when everything else goes quiet.
